In 1985 he married the daughter of Rabbi Aaron Feldman; presently the Rosh Yeshiva of Ner Yisroel Baltimore. He received Rabbinic Ordination, from Rabbi Nissim Karelitz Av Beis Din Bnei Brak, Rabbi Moshe Halberstam, Beis Din Jerusalem, and others. After his marriage he decided to learn under the wing of the famous Rabbi Shlomo Wolbe Shlita in Kollel Beis Hammusar. During this period, Rabbi Kornfeld became a close disciple of Rabbi Wolbe and gained much from his teachings. In the year 1999, Rabbi Kornfeld was chosen from an elite group of students, to receive the Nezer Hora’ah award. This award is given to one Kollel Yungerman per year, whom the Gedolei Yisrael feel has the potential to be a Posek for the generation In January 2001, Rabbi Kornfeld was appointed Rabbi of the Beis Haknesses HaGra, Ramat Beit Shemesh, at the very first annual dinner. He was inducted amidst great honor, as leader of the entire community in July 2001. Rabbi Kornfeld resides with his wife and seven children in Ramat Beit Shemesh, where he provides leadership and direction for the entire community. |
